We are Elaway. A young and hungry tech scale-up with Norwegian roots. Last year, we expanded to Sweden and Germany ready to accelerate the green transition in Europe – and we have big plans ahead!
As you might know, Norway loves electric vehicles. Almost 80% of all new cars sold in 2022 were electric, and the trend is rising fast. The country has been the perfect playground for us while experimenting with a platform to enable the initiation and construction of charging facilities. Over seventy thousand parking spots have access to an EV charging point through Elaway and our service. But that's just the beginning. The whole world needs to run on electric energy, and we are going to do our part by making charging facilities available.

Skills budget

Hybrid positions
We believe in in-person collaboration, but understand that a day or two at home can be a great way to just work through the to-do list. Thus, most of our positions are hybrid, meaning we would like you to be at one of our offices at least three times a week.

For most positions, we want to have you at our offices on average three times per week, to build culture. However, there are some positions that are office-based and some that are remote as well.

The recruitment process at Elaway varies between roles, teams, and functions so that they’re tailored for each new hire. You can always ask your contact person for specifics. In general, we go through 2-3 interviews where we deep dive into behaviors, competencies, and your previous experience. One of these interviews usually contains some kind of case study or presentation that you’ll need to prepare in advance (these are usually fun, so no need to stress!). To make sure we’ve found a good match, we also work with personality and reasoning tests on some of the positions.

No, higher education is not a hard requirement at Elaway. We believe that people have different backgrounds and paths that have led to where they are today. So, just apply – formal education or not!
About Elaway
Norway has become a go-to place for learning about electric vehicles (EVs) and renewable energy, and at the heart of it all is Elaway, a young tech company founded in hydropower. After three years in operation, we've proudly built 1,100 charging facilities, serving over 75,000 parking spaces across Norway. In 2022, we expanded our footprint to Sweden and Germany, drawing on our experience to make EVs more accessible throughout Europe.
Elaway is a rapidly growing player in a fast-moving industry. Our goal is straightforward: to speed up the transition to EVs as part of the solution to the climate crisis.
