The Role
We’re seeking an ambitious Head of Sales Emerging Markets to lead our growth in Denmark and Germany. This is a rare opportunity to build and scale a sales organization from scratch — combining strategic design, hands-on execution, and commercial leadership.
Whether you’ve built sales teams before or driven large-scale transformations as a consultant, you thrive at the intersection of strategy, problem-solving, and delivery. You know that growth comes from testing, learning, and iterating — turning data and insight into practical adjustments that create real impact. You’re equally comfortable designing scalable structures and proving the model in the market yourself.
What You'll Do
- Market leadership: Drive sales and revenue growth, positioning Elaway as a trusted partner in Denmark and Germany.
- Sales strategy & scaling: Design and implement scalable sales structures, channels, and processes for long-term success.
- Go-to-market execution: Translate strategy into results, ensuring strong product–market fit and rapid adoption.
- Hands-on sales: Actively engage in customer acquisition, business development, and key account management in the early stages.
- Team building & leadership: Recruit, inspire, and lead a high-performing sales team.
- Data-driven growth: Test, measure, and refine approaches based on insights — making continuous improvement part of the culture.
- Cross-functional impact: Work closely with operations, platform, marketing, and leadership to align on company objectives.
What We're Looking for
We’re not just after a traditional sales leader — we’re looking for someone who thrives on building, problem-solving, and making things happen. You might come from a sales background, or from consultancy with a proven track in driving commercial impact. What matters is your ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and to use testing, data, and iteration to turn ideas into scalable results.
You’ll succeed in this role if you:
- Have led sales growth or driven large-scale commercial transformations.
- Think strategically, solve problems analytically, and act decisively.
- Enjoy rolling up your sleeves and leading by doing in the early stages.
- Use data and insights to adapt quickly and continuously improve.
- Inspire and influence — from housing communities to C-level executives.
Fluency in German and the possibility to work regularly from Munich and Copenhagen is a requirement. Fluency in Danish or another Scandinavian language is a strong plus.

We believe in in-person collaboration, but understand that a day or two at home can be a great way to just work through the to-do list. Thus, most of our positions are hybrid, meaning we would like you to be at one of our offices at least three times a week.

About Elaway
Norway has become a go-to place for learning about electric vehicles (EVs) and renewable energy, and at the heart of it all is Elaway, a scale-up founded in hydropower. After five years in operation, we've proudly built 1,400 charging facilities, serving over 140,000 parking spaces across our four markets. In 2022, we expanded our footprint to Sweden and Germany, drawing on our experience to make EVs more accessible throughout Europe. In 2024, we have added Denmark as our fourth market.
